2016 Dave Ward Memorial Lecture Award

The 2016 Ward Memorial Award went to Dr. Tansel Yucelen for outstanding contributions in the field of adaptive control which enable the synthesis of robust high-performance systems that can operate under adverse conditions with verifiably safe operating envelopes, and the broad applicability of these contributions to aerospace and many other domains.

Dr. Yucelen is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida. He serves as director of both the Laboratory for Autonomy, Control, Information, and Systems (LACIS) and the Control Systems Forum at USF.
