Abstract	The S-7 Committee of the SAE meets twice a year to address issues from the line pilots’ perspective including handling qualities and cockpit arrangement. S-7 members are drawn globally from airlines, manufacturers, and regulators. The Committee generates Aerospace Information Reports (AIR), Aerospace Recommended Practices (ARP), and Aerospace Standards (AS). Current areas of attention that are discussed in the presentation include display latency, loss of control and training implications, Fly-By-Wire (FBW) handling qualities, warning/caution/advisory, as well as FBW architecture and redundancy management. Other S-7 projects in work are addressing flight deck head-up displays, autopilot, flight directory, and autothrust systems, as well as flight deck-based merging and spacing . ACGSC member Brian Lee will be the new S-7 Chairman. The next S-7 meeting will be in Melbourne, FL on January 27, 2014.
