AbstractNASA Dryden Flight Research Center is involved with a number of flight research activities. This presentation highlights some of the current projects Dryden is working on, including status and recent accomplishments. This presentation includes an update on the flight activities and plans for the FAST aircraft (F-18 #853). This vehicle is being developed to conduct piloted flight controls research and the first experiments will involve evaluation of adaptive flight control algorithms for improved handling qualities during failures. Brief summaries are provided for activities on X-48B, the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) and the Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV) Orion launch abort system tests
