AbstractThe presentation is dedicated to the following investigations carried out in the last year:
- Integration of display with flight control system;
- Automatization of the lunar landing mission;
- Influence of the feel system parameters and inceptor type on pilot-aircraft system characteristics.
In the frame of “integration of display with FCS” there are considered the general ideology of the predictive display design and their applications to the different piloting tasks and the spacecraft missions realized during the last 5 years. As for the current research it was investigated the modification of the proposed technique for the flight path display for the aircraft with the time delay in its dynamics.
It was synthesized the law for the predictive angle provided the suppression of time delay effects. The proposed technique was realized on the head-up and helmet display. All experiments were executed on MAI simulator.
In the frame of investigation “Automatization of the linear landing mission” the following aspects of research were carried out:
- development of the basic law for the flight control system;
- synthesis of the displayed information necessary for the precise manual landing. This research included the synthesis of the trajectory for the Lunar Lander on its final stage of flight.
The research of experimental investigations demonstrated the high efficiency of the manual control with proposed display and flight control system. The wide range of the variable parameters was investigated in the frame of the third research. They are the spring stiffness and damping of the feel system, type of inceptor and type of sensing control.
The experiments executed for the wide range of the dynamic configurations exposed the some new regularities in pilot and pilot-aircraft system characteristics in longitudinal and lateral channels. These results led to modification of the mathematical model of pilot behavior considered in presentation too.
