AbstractThe number of the aerospace vehicle missions (landing of Space Shuttle or Buran, docking of spacecraft with ISS during TORU, teleoperator control of lunar rover and UAV) characterizing by the increased time delay associated with the command signal transmission or usage the filters in flight control system are considered.
The possible means for suppression of time delay effects are discussed. They are adaptive command filter or the manipulator with variable stiffness for the small time delay or the predictive display for the considerable time delay.
The procedure of predictive time optimization and results of ground-based simulation are given. During the experimental investigations the eccentricity of spacecraft jets used for linear motion control and way of its suppression are considered. The problem of lunar rover control accompanying by the time delay close to 4 s is discussed too. It is shown that the usage of predictive display allows to eliminate the effect of time delay and to increase of rover speed in 2 รท 2.5 times. The ways for the improvement of UAV dynamics and stages for the ground-based investigations are considered in presentation too.
